You may think it is too early to start discussing all things Christmas – I know that is what I have been telling all my friends. But when a very special press release popped up in my Inbox today, I had to make an exception to the rule!

Nikki and Joe Davison are the husband and wife team behind Auburn Jam Music production. They explain the inspiration behind the album:

“This year is the 5th anniversary of our studio, so we wanted to do something special to celebrate, and raise some money for the brilliant work that The Make A Difference Trust do at the same time. We have had the privilege of working with some fantastic up-and-coming new musical theatre writers, as well as talented West End performers and singer-songwriters to produce albums and original cast and concept recordings over the past five years, so it seemed like the perfect celebration to do a Christmas album of new songs! The album is very eclectic, there’s rock, pop, classical, comedy… definitely something for everyone! “

A minimum of 20% from every sale will go to the charity, and this will increase and increase the more are sold as costs are covered. So buy one for yourself, your friends, your mum, your gran, your neighbour and your goldfish!

URINETOWN – Welcome to the West End!

One of my favourite new shows of 2014 has to be the dark comedy classic URINETOWN, which ran at the wonderful St James Theatre for a sold out run earlier in the year. Directed by Jamie Lloyd, it was certainly one of the strangest yet phenomenal shows I had ever seen – it had definitely been a while since I had laughed that much at a show.
So when I heard it was transferring to the West End – I was overjoyed that this show was going to be brought to an even wider audience, and I certainly cannot wait to pay another visit very soon.
Until then – my dear friend, and truly awesome fellow Theatre Blogger THEATRE THERAPY was present for the shows first night at the Apollo Theatre. Check out her fantastic report here: –
